Regulation Score
The Regulation Score is a continuous 0–100 estimate of how well your autonomic nervous system is regulating, derived from the heartbeat fluctuations (HRV) read by Apple Watch.
What is inside the score
- The basis is HRV (heart rate variability) — the fluctuation in the interval between heartbeats. Feelmo uses RMSSD, one of the most widely used indices in clinical research
- It is the same single Regulation Score computed by the Lumo Core algorithm that powers Lumo Research
- Lower means "fluctuating"; higher means "settled"
How to read it
| State | Rough guide |
|---|---|
| Settled | Above your own baseline, stable |
| Ordinary | Around your baseline |
| Fluctuating | Below your baseline, or swinging widely |
Don't compare with others
The score is most meaningful against your own baseline. Watch the difference from your usual self, not the absolute number.
Faces before numbers
Rather than putting the number first, Feelmo translates it into the nearest of the six companions and places it gently beside your day.
