Apple Watch & HealthKit
Feelmo's Regulation Score is born from the overnight heart data read by Apple Watch. Here is the setup, and what to do when data doesn't appear.
What you need
- An iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later
- An Apple Watch (required to measure the Regulation Score)
- The Feelmo app (coming soon)
Without an Apple Watch
Some features, such as the Emotion Log, work on iPhone alone.
Setup
- Pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone (via Apple's Watch app)
- Install Feelmo and open the app
- Grant HealthKit access as guided. Access is requested step by step, per feature — no permission is needed for features you don't use
- At night, just wear your watch and sleep. Your Regulation Score is born from the heart data during sleep
Checking & changing permissions
You can check or change HealthKit permissions any time from iOS Settings.
Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Feelmo
There you can toggle read access for each data type, such as heart rate variability and sleep, and revoke any type at any time.
When data doesn't appear
If the Regulation Score doesn't show, check in this order:
- Did you sleep with your Apple Watch on? … The score is born mainly from heart data during sleep
- Is HealthKit permission granted? … In the Settings screen above, confirm that heart-rate-variability reading is allowed
- Is sleep data being recorded? … In the iOS Health app, check that sleep and heart data are recorded
- Did the Apple Watch have enough battery? … If it ran out overnight, that night's data can't be captured
If it still isn't resolved, reach out via Support.
